A few words about me

My name is Serhiy Prylutskyy, I am a professional wedding photographer based in Victoria, Vancouver Island. I have been doing wedding and elopement photography for over 16 years. I create fabulously unique wedding masterpiece photos in the Fine Art style with real vivid emotions and memories for a lifetime.

In my work, I use the technique of Low-key lighting photography to show a person in an unusual, non-standard place, and emphasize the beauty and importance of of individuality in this amazing, versatile and wonderful world, where you will be like the cherry on the top of the cake.

On your wedding day, I will be with you from start to finish, I will be your best friend, mentor and the person who will do everything to make you remember this day with bright emotions and an endless smile on your wedding photos. I am a right person who will find out a way in any unusual situations and take responsibility, take away all worries and always find the right solution and word at all moment on the wedding day.

I am a maximalist and an infinitely positive and energetic person who is a passionate artist and loves what he does. I work hard on myself, constantly developing, looking for fresh ideas, inspirations, interesting places and locations. I regularly visit the world’s best photo exhibitions, expositions and old art galleries.

My professional achievements in my career as a photographer

  • In 2016, I graduated from the Academy of Photography in Krakow with honors on a diploma.
  • In 2017, my photo artwork “Metro” at the exhibition in London received Night Photography Nominee in FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS 2017
  • I’ve done more than 150 weddings and elopement photo sessions, plus around 3,000 portrait photoshoots.
  • I had a portrait photoshoot session with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Poland.

All this makes me constantly progress and keep up with the times and new trends in modern wedding and portrait photography. And having deep knowledge and skills in photography with the best education and experience, I can confidently execute any ideas and projects with best results and make everyone fall in love with my photos. Eventually, a true professional loves his job, is obsessed with what he does and makes every effort to be the best and worthy of attention. I will be extremely happy to apply my experience and provide all the best and new things that are in photography today.

A little story about me and company Crassodon:

I would like to tell you a little about myself and my work.  The origins of my work date back to the early 90s, when my mother gave me and my brother the first film camera Zenit-E. In those days, color film was very expensive, and I shot mostly on black-and-white film “Svema”. That’s how I started to learn the technique and the first basics of photography. Later, with the availability of color film, the world opened up to me in a new way. I started to look at many things in different perspective and started landscape photography, where a lot of different colors and tones at sunrise, sunset and a simple forest lawn can be perfectly captured in a photograph.

As the years passed, I gained experience, the technique changed, and with it new open horizons, when you can shoot digitally without thinking about the rest of the shots in the camera. At the same time as photography, I was engaged in football, road cycling and later motorsport, due to this I developed qualities such as perseverance, endurance, fearlessness and go the distance. Eventually, when you’re really training, you’re not afraid of rain, mud, cold, or even deep accumulated fatigue, you have to finish and reach your goal, no matter how much effort it takes.
In 2006, I bought my first professional digital SLR camera. I had the opportunity to shoot hundreds of portraits a year, learn the features and nuances of portrait photography and keep up with the times. Having done a huge and colossal job in learning and improving the art of photography, I began to shoot people in unusual places and landscapes. Exactly, to do what I like – portrait and landscape photography, which I started combining in wedding photography in 2009. In this way, my deep hobby turned into a professional job as a wedding photographer.

Wedding is the most important event for every person who is in love, as Love is like the sun and moon in the sky filled with infinite energy and shining brightly like stars. Well, wedding is a celebration of love, where you want to freeze every moment in time and not miss a single second. And elopement photoshoot is the most exciting adventure and an unforgettable journey of the couples to the most beautiful places.

In 2023, I moved to Victoria on Vancouver Island, Canada. And first of all, I started exploring the island and traveling a lot by motorcycle to all popular and hard-to-reach places where no human has ever set foot, in order to find the perfect, unique and most beautiful locations for elopement photo shoots. I keep hunting for new spots and discover new horizons moving further into the depths of Vancouver Island, like a wolf who is as focused, fearless and tirelessly stalking the victim in a pack of wolves to achieve his goal. Since, a wolf is not only a hunter, it is a forest orderly, without whom real nature would not be so beautiful and harmonious.

As a result, I founded Crassodon company in 2025. Where the word “Crassodon” means a subspecies of wolves that live only on Vancouver Island. Due to so many high-quality, sentimental moments in my life intertwined with a unique interpretation of this word for me, I chose the name “Crassodon” because it is exceptional for Vancouver Island, and carries the meaning of joining forces to achieve maximum results, as in a wolf pack, which is important for me as a photographer and an artist. And it’s especially nice to know the place where you live and capture photos with the most beautiful wedding moments and unique locations that you will look years later, sitting with a large family, smiling and remembering the emotions you experienced over and over again.…
